RANDAL MORGAN
Sadly, after a short illness, Welsh navigator Randal Morgan passed away in October at the age of 75. With his driver Malcolm Gibbs he won the Motoring News Championship in 1966 and won 6 MN rallies in total. He was also Clerk of the Course for Aberdare MC’s Nutcracker MN rally in its early years. There is a 10 page interview with Randal in Mick Briant’s latest book which unfortunately Randal never got to see. He was a chemist by profession, was one of the very best navigators in his era and a charming man. Condolences to his wife and family.
