Gerald Grosvenor, DUKE OF WESTMINSTER 1951-2016
Knutsford &DMC’s former President (in the early 80s) has died at the young age of 64. During his time as our President he attended the AGM and Dinner-Dance most years, and acted as starter for the Plains Rally. One year he came to the Plains in Newtown in his helicopter and after start duties went spectating from the air, navigated by Alan Jolley and Nigel Raeburn. He was given a ride round the Tarenig stage by course car driver Louise Aitken-Walker. On the road, he enjoyed driving his Aston Martins. The Club sends its condolences to the Duke’s family.
